NWA Steel Company has been a fixture in the steel fabrication and steel erection business since it was founded by Mr. Glenn Clark in 1961. Mr. Clark actively operated the company until he called Home to be with our Heavenly Father in December of 2010 at the age of 83. After Mr. Clark’s passing, the direction of the company was in question.
Early in 2012 the company was purchased by JW Taylor. Prior to the purchase, Mr. Taylor had been employed with NWA Steel for 36 years and was the company’s Head Project Manager/Field Superintendent. JW’s expertise and dedication are a large contributing factor for its longevity and current success. His hands-on attitude and knowledge of steel construction are second to none in Northwest Arkansas and our four-state region. Sadly, JW passed away in 2013. This left the company again in a questionable situation.
The amazing team at NWA Steel, headed up by Wes Taylor banded together to push forward and continue the legacy that had been established as the foundation of the company. Wes says it like this… “We are a very ambitious young steel company with experienced deep and old roots.” And back to our roots we went a couple of times…
In 2012 NWA Steel had 6 team members and grew to 12 in 2013. By 2019 NWA Steel had 33 experts in the field fabricating and erecting roughly 1000 tons per year in Northwest Arkansas. As of 2023, NWA Steel has grown to 140+ experts and are currently providing in access of 15,000 tons/year of turnkey steel packages in Northwest Arkansas, regionally, nationally and beyond. NWA Steel is proud to be on the teams to fabricate and erect the structural steel for buildings such as the new Wal-Mart Home Office, UA Windgate, Arkansas State Police Headquarters, Huntsville Activity Center, and several projects for the Springdale School District.

AISC Certified Fabricator & Erector
We maintain our certification with annual audits from the American Institute of Steel Construction Certification Program. In addition, NWA Steel has a team of qualified welders certified in AWS D1.1 & D1.5. This ensures top quality fabrication and welding for all our projects large and small
